The second CB Group/University of the West Indies (UWI) 5K is set for Sunday, November 17, at the UWI Bowl in Mona, starting at 7 a.m.

Starting this year, title sponsor Caribbean Broilers has committed to a three-year deal worth $9 million. At last year's inaugural staging, 2,500 persons participated and $18 million was raised and 20 students were recipients of scholarship awards at UWI. LIKE they did a week ago when they captured the top spots at the Portmore Burger King 10K Road race, Shawn Pitter, running unattached, and Tanice Barnett, representing MVP track club, won the male and female titles, respectively, at yesterday's inaugural UWI/CB Group Walk/Run and homecoming event at the institution's Mona campus.
